<image:title>Member benefits</image:title>
<image:caption>Gold Membership: An elite membership program that costs $100 a year to join. These members are recognized in various OSIA publications throughout the year for their participation, as well as other benefits for their enrollment. This campaign enables the Supreme Council to fund items that are important to the membership of OSIA nationally. Combined with regular membership dues from the grand lodges; this campaign serves to defray increasing costs in the print production & postage fees of the Italian America magazine. This ensures the magazine will remain free to all dues paying members. Additionally, and most promising for all OSIA lodges, is the complete re-design and implementation of the national OSIA website. What is being created even as I type this, is a new, highly efficient, more user friendly site that will be interactive with every filial and grand lodge throughout the country. Please help us promote the Gold Membership Campaign. Those who enlist will receive their Gold membership card, the official certificate, its distinctive lapel pin, and as stated, each member is continually recognized in the various OSIA and SIF newsletters, blasts and published journals throughout their year of membership. To renew or to join the Gold Membership Campaign just forward your check payable to “OSIA Supreme Lodge” for $100 and mail it to OSIA National Office, 219 E Street NE, Washington, DC 20002. Mark the envelope as “Gold Membership”. Or, if you prefer you can email Laura at lkelly@osia.org in the national office and she can process your request right over the phone with a credit card. Please consider demonstrating your commitment to OSIA by elevating your membership to Gold status. This will assist the Order in providing the most modernized version OSIA as we move forward.</image:caption>

Regular Membership**: A person of Italian descent, the spouse or the adopted child of a person of Italian descent, or the widow or widower or divorced spouse of a current or former member. Youth Membership: Members Age 0-17. Social Membership**: A person not of Italian descent. Although unable to hold office, a social member enjoys all other privileges and benefits of membership, including the right to vote in all matters. **Annual dues are set by individual local lodges. If you cannot find a lodge in your area and would be interested in learning how to form a lodge, contact the Grand Lodge of Illinois and Wisconsin office at 708-403-7822. Gold Membership: An elite membership program that costs $100 a year to join.

<image:title>Welcome - OSDIA - Grand Lodge of Illinois & Wisconsin</image:title>
<image:caption>Welcome to the official website for the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America’s Grand Lodge of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Order was founded in 1905, in New York City’s Little Italy. You can learn about our past at www.osia.org. Our Grand Lodge was founded in Chicago in 1924. We merged with the state of Wisconsin and became the Grand Lodge of Illinois & Wisconsin in 2009.The Grand Lodge is comprised of (8) eight local or filial lodges in Milwaukee and throughout the Chicago land areas. The Order’s membership of men, women and children, work to preserve the Italian and Italian American heritages and cultures, while benefiting society as a whole. Our Sons of Italy Foundation (SIF) nationally, has quietly raised over 115 million dollars for scholarships, disaster relief and Cancer, Alzheimer, Autism and Cooley’s Anemia disease cure and prevention research through the years. The Commission for Social Justice tirelessly works to promote the positive image of Italian and Italian Americans, in the media and business worlds. It also acts as the anti-defamation arm of the Order, protecting our good name and character. We invite and encourage you to explore this website and learn why OSIA is the oldest and largest Italian American organization in North America, and why you, your friends and relatives should join our proud ranks. Fraternally Yours, Frank J. Schiro Grand Lodge President</image:caption>

<image:title>Columbus day Parade</image:title>
<image:caption>On behalf of OSIA, Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, we are pleased and honored to be once again attending this ceremony and today’s Mass and festivities with our fellow Italian organizations. Now more than ever, it is important that we present a unified front to protect and preserve our national holiday -- Columbus Day. We join with our brothers and sisters from all the JCCIA organizations today to celebrate and commemorate the struggles, hardships and accomplishments of Italians in America. Our Order’s founder, Dr. Vincenzo Sellero, gave the original “I have a dream speech” on our founding in New York City on June 22, 1905. We believe it is important today that to again repeat his closing remarks: “It is because of this today, I have a dream and hope that someday, even if it takes 100 more years before we are fully accepted, our children and their children’s children, even if they carry a single drop of Italian blood will be able and proud to continue to carry on our traditions, our culture, and our language. It is up to us, and what we do today!” These words ring true today, and we are confident that if we stay unified, his dream and ours will continue to be fulfilled for generations to come.</image:caption>
